Chelsie Wilson, an artist based out of Hastings, Nebraska, is featured for our Local Artist Series’s second installment.

Starting in college with her artwork, Chelsie predominately worked with glass blowing, multi-mediums, and 3D.

“I used to work with whatever was around me, which is why I think street art spoke to me because I liked to get creative with what I had access to,” said Chelsie.

Her artwork is currently influenced by the landscape and rolling sandhills of rural Nebraska, using methods and styles influenced by street art.

“The main points of my artwork is inspired by street art, public art, and rural Nebraska and content – the vastness and openness of things. I always revert back to rural scenes because it’s where I am from,” said Chelsie.

Chelsie is working on a new series working with raw elements, including bones, skulls, and wood.

Outside of artwork, Chelsie spends most of her time on bodywork with Thai Massage and teaches yoga.
