Hi John,
We received the triage order yesterday, just in time for our local MTB race which is a pretty big event for us. The colors were perfect and the graphics, including the color transitions, were great. I am always amazed at the level of detail that can be printed on these fabrics. Also, I like the improvements in the materials. The bibs fit much better especially the length of the suspenders and the elastic at the cuffs. The plastic zipper on the jerseys is a great idea and actually works much better than last year's zipper. Thanks for all your help in getting this order to us. It really means a lot.

I rode a bit over 40 miles this morning with other Team Redneck guys. I was wearing the new bib shorts and the summer jersey. It was a typical hot, humid, Alabama July day. I found the shorts to be quite comfortable, easily as comfortable as my Pearl Izumi Microsensors (twice the price), and the summer jersey was just the ticket for the humidity.
I delivered most of the order to folks this morning and we have named next Wednesday as Picture Day.

First, some “official” feedback that I have received from our Tri Club members after sporting your wears for a season.
Tech cycling caps: Fantastic! Light, comfortable, perfect for cycling & running!! We ordered enough that we should be good for a while longer.
Wind Jackets: Wonderful!! We have sold nearly all of them!! Very nice, perfect with the long back, big rear pocket and even pit zips for ventilation.
Race cut cycling jerseys: Super!! Everyone digs them. Another item that we have nearly sold out of! They fit well, are comfortable and our design looks great on them for showing off!
All three of the above were a pretty safe bet for us to order as other clubs and cycling teams in town have your gear and I have seen or worn each. We are all very happy with these items!

I “raced” in mine last Saturday … the singlet looked great on top of my black running skirt. I am hoping to get a group shot of us at the Nike Half and will send it along.
I really like the cycling gloves … super comfy and a nice pad. I wore them last night for cyclocross practice along with the very cute Euro-cap under my helmet.
We just look so “swell.”

I was a little worried since it is a straight vertical stripe and that it might end up a little skewed across the seam. Anyways, we are planning another run and hope to get started next month. One of our riders went down hard on Saturday, blowing both tires in a pot hole and going over the bars. Other than being a little bruised, he (and thebike) were fine, but his helmet was completely destroyed.
I e-mailed him when I heard he was OK, and kidded him saying that "Thank God the jersey wasn't damaged," and he replied:

When we decided to start a cycling club we new we wanted to ride under our own brand instead of buying generic jerseys. We also have high profile clients that were going to sponsor us. The caps are awesome. We wear them before and after the races and now with the colder weather setting in we wear the technical cap under our helmets. The quality of the caps is great. The color is just spectacular, and the tweaking done by the design department really makes the jersey pop. Personally, I’ve worn a lot of different club clothing, and with most American sized clothing, because I’m 6’2’ and 156 lbs, I have to choose between a little too small or a little too big. However, the Race Cut fit from Champion is just perfect.

Wow. I would have responded to my order being received but I have been in shock. I’m very impressed—turn around time was about three weeks!
Having been in the manufacturing business, I know how difficult it is to capture customers. Your competitive pricing and low minimums pulled me in, but your superior quality and great customer service will keep me a satisfied client. Given that you don’t take the sizing shorts out for a test spin, I harbored a fear that the chamois and short fit just might not be perfect, and I’m prone to saddle sores. I thought if they’re good enough for Henk Vogels, they must be good enough for me . . . but then, Henk could finish Paris Roubaix with sandpaper in his shorts!
I was pleasantly surprised by how well everything works. Your gear really makes a professional kit that looks great and works even better.

I just wanted you to know that my order arrived early, yesterday! Especially, I wanted to let you know how well everything turned out. PRior to received the order, I was a little concerned about how the red and the coffee bean pattern woudl turn out for the jersey and shorts. I am VERY PLEASED with the quality of the color reproduction and the sharpness of the coffee detail. Also, your art/production department even did an excellent job in retaining all the subtle color gradation I used in my design.
Also, all the pieces arrived, with the exact quantities and sizes, just as I ordered. The sample mini-jersey was an unexpected and very cool surprise, and we'll make excellent use of all the Champion System stickers that were sent, too. Thanks! Perhaps, if the team budget allows, we'll order a smaller minimum of the mini-jerseys.

To be honest, I was a little concerned about what the quality of the jerseys would be due to the low price. I wanted you to know we were very impressed and the jerseys actually surpassed our expectations. The crossover on the front of the jersey where the zipper is located was exceptional. Huge crowds lining the streets, the caliber of racing was incredible and the kids looked and acted like pros. Thank you so much for supporting this event. Been retired so long you've worn holes through your bibs? Not psyched about joining the local club just to be able to purchase jerseys? No problem. Make up your own team. Draw up a nice logo, send it to Champion System and wait for six weeks (or less in our case) for your pro kit to arrive. Those low minimums make it possible for two people to make up a team! Look like the pro you were without having to train as much. Play dress up in the mirror if it's raining - whatever, it's your team! Our proofs were turned around in minutes and the clothing was here just as the mid-atlantic turned from summer to winter overnight. Note: It seems like late September is a GREAT time to order clothes - road season hasn't started for next year and cross season clothing orders better already be in. Great clothing, low prices, if this seems too good to be true it actually isn't!

One of our riders went down hard on Saturday, blowing both tires in a pot hole and going over the bars. Other than being a little bruised, he (and thebike) were fine, but his helmet was completely destroyed.
I e-mailed him when I heard he was OK, and kidded him saying that "Thank God the jersey wasn't damaged," and he replied:

Thank you very much! The Eastern NC Chapter of NMSS will probably raise in excess of $1.5 Million on this event. They had over 2400 riders this year. We had 75 riders on our team and raised at last count over $62,000. We did not win the "Best Jersey" competition this year (over 100 teams), but I heard a number of comments about the jerseys as we rode by in a double paceline of about 40 riders, and we had at least three new members join only because they liked the cool jersey. Since I had only a small order, finding somewhere to have custom jerseys made was very difficult. I naturally assumed that I’d be at the whim of the company and they would get to me when they wanted to. That was not at all the case with Champion System. Ed Glazar and the rest of the sales team treated me as if I were royalty and had a huge order! Not only do the jerseys look fantastic, they were able to work with me to get the jerseys turned around in just under 7 weeks so I could have them for a race. I'm sorry for the delay in writing this note to you. We have received all of the items that were ordered and we are very pleased with how things came out.
It is the first year for Talksoft Racing and the kit design was all "on paper" until we received things. We have now raced in the kits and have received some nice compliments on the design. Our team members are all pleased with things.
We were especially pleased with the fast turnaround time - most fellow teams that went with other vendors are only now (5-6 wks later) getting their kits. It was especially good for us as we ordered cooler weather items, all of which have been "battle tested" in training rides and races out here in PA.

It has been a very hectic season. Now that I have some time, I wanted to thank you for all your assistance in the team clothing order. The cycling team and tri team like the fit and design. Many teams, including managers of the pro teams we compete against, liked the design and asked if were happy we switched to Champion System (knowing we were with Voler for 8 years). I told them we were very happy and will continue to use Champion System as our team clothing supplier. Here is a what the team clothing looks like when used in the Ironman Lake Placid.
Ryan also competed in the Ironman Austria and the cycling team has 23 wins and 21 podium finishes this season. We finished the Tour of Pa, Nationals and we have been invited to the Univest GP again to finish the season. Thanks for all you help.

We create new jerseys every two years and in-between just place a re-order off the existing art. Our current jersey supplier (won't mention names but it starts with S and rhymes with boy) was raising our rate and was not even assuring they could get our re-order to us in time for our Houston to Austin ride this Spring. I suggested we give you guys a try based on your advertised rates and the quality I had seen in your samples at your display booth. Though my fellow captains kept wanting to believe there was a catch everything with you guys turned out to be just as advertised and you were able to bail us out this year for our interim re-order. It should go without saying that I was really impressed by your (John & Champion System) ability to deliver the product so quickly for me. As I stated before, I took a large part of the responsibility for the delays during design but it didn't seem to matter....YOU GUYS JUST GOT IT DONE ANYWAY! You were always prompt in your return of my comments or questions and also I was impressed by the fact that when I called you were there and ready to go! We never played phone-tag.
The Champion System business model is very strong and your price vs features is really second to none! Historically, I've used Castelli (Squadra), Louis Garneau, Voler, and Custom Sublimation.
With all that being said, once I received the clothing I was very impressed with the quality of the garments. Its seems the shorts are very well made and the chamois is very nice too. Its not over the top crazy but instead, just right....comfortable, well fitting, unobtrusive. Secretly, I'm a zipper snob and I was hoping that your jerseys wouldn't disappoint...and they didn't. A full length hidden zipper that is easy to start, easy to zip and has a nice size pull tab is a first for me! Here in TX where we ride through 100-105* summer days (with humidity) a nice full length zipper is a treat. I also have similar feelings about the vest. Have a 2 way zipper is very nice. It really helps to adjust the vent during our coolish mornings that go into warm afternoon rides.
I also want to say job well done on the Tech Polos! They are a really cool item. Everyone was very excited about having an wearing them. They are almost too nice to wear post ride. I could easily find myself wearing it to the mall or a casual dinner. My expectations were exceeded with this item.
The socks are also over very nice quality. They have nice tight stitching, good coloring and nice fit. I do wish that the graphic resolution on this could have turned out better but I'm sure there are limitations when sowing a design into the fabric.

Champion System was selected as our apparel vendor, and I only have good things to say about the way they handled our large order (appx 500 items), their flexibility working with our design/approval process, and the quality of the kits. Charlie is great to work with, and was very helpful in coming up with the great design. We are looking at a long-term relationship with Champion System.
I did a century Saturday and 50+ miles Sunday wearing the kit. The jersey wicks really well, and the padding on the bibshorts performed better than my much more expensive Pearl Izumi.
