Champion System Partners with Challenged Athlete Foundation
as Official Technical Apparel Supplier

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK - (June 3rd, 2014) — Champion System, a worldwide leader in custom technical apparel, announces its official partnership as the technical apparel partner to the Challenged Athletes Foundation® (CAF).

The Challenged Athletes Foundation® is a unique nonprofit organization that provides opportunities and support to people with physical disabilities so they can pursue active lifestyles through physical fitness and competitive athletics. Champion System will be supplying custom technical apparel to CAF’s athletes and supporters as they participate in a variety of endurance and fitness events including running, cycling and triathlon. Champion System has created a custom design for CAF and will feature a complete apparel line including casual apparel.

“Challenged Athletes Foundation is simply doing amazing work and we are proud to be a part of such an active and engaged group,” said Scott Kaylin, Co-Founder and President of Champion System. “The foundation truly changes lives on many levels and in many capacities and we could not be more excited to align ourselves with this type of work.”

CAF puts on unique, first-class fundraising events as ways to get supporters involved and make a difference. CAF events are challenging and rewarding, but most importantly allow people to see first-hand how they are changing the lives of challenged athletes.

“We are thrilled and honored to partner with Champion Systems, an organization that truly shares our belief that sport is a right everyone should have access to,” said Virginia Tinley, Executive Director of the Challenged Athletes Foundation. “We look forward to working together to provide our supporters and athletes the opportunity to represent CAF and support challenged athletes.

Recently, The Challenged Athletes Foundation announced the opening of registration for their 2014 Aspen Medical Products San Diego Triathlon Challenge in La Jolla, CA, to be held on October 19, 2014. The event will be a “challenge distance” triathlon featuring a one mile swim, 44 mile bike and 10 mile run along the beautiful La Jolla and San Diego coastline.  Athletes can learn more about the race and how to participate and earn a custom Champion Systems CAF tri kit by visiting www.challengedathletes.com/SDTC.

Challenged Athletes Foundation

The Challenged Athletes Foundation® (CAF) is a world leader in helping individuals with physical challenges get involved – and stay involved – in sports. CAF believes that participation in sports at any level increases self-esteem, encourages independence and enhances quality of life. Since 1994, more than $53 million has been raised and almost 9,500 funding requests from challenged athletes in all 50 states and dozens of countries have been satisfied. Additionally, CAF’s outreach efforts reach another 60,000 individuals each year. Whether it’s a $2,500 grant for a handcycle, helping underwrite a carbon fiber running foot not covered by insurance, or arranging enthusiastic encouragement from a mentor who has triumphed over a similar challenge, CAF’s mission is clear: give those with the desire to live active, athletic lifestyles every opportunity to compete in the sports they love.
